Mediator
Stephen Parkinson is now a full-time mediator after 30 years in private practice as an environmental litigator. He graduated from Harvard Law School cum laude in 1991, and was an oralist in the finals of the Harvard Ames Moot Court competition. He clerked for the Honorable Thomas J. Zilly in the District Court for the Western District of Washington. He is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the King County Bar Association, and is a volunteer mediator for the King County Dispute Resolution Center. He specializes in mediating legal disputes relating to environmental issues and contractual disputes. While in active practice, he was recognized as a Super Lawyer for over 10 consecutive years in the environmental litigation area, chaired the American Bar Association committee on Natural Resource Damages, and co-authored the Washington State Environmental Deskbook Chapter on Natural Resource Damages.
